Week 16

Hello everyone, welcome to the final project blog update! Since Group 1B presented first, we rushed to finish pending items, especially the locked answers. We were constantly fixing bugs: cutoff questions, missing answers, and strange empty text boxes. To speed up, we launched a 4-person synchronized coding session. Two coded the remaining subjects, one handled design fixes then switched to coding, all guided by our leader ensuring sync and preventing data loss via constant refreshing. We finished just in time for the final defense with Ms. Faith, ACE facilitators, and the Assistant Teachers present. We finished our immediate defense fixes and then launched into a three-day showcase (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Team members rotated shifts so everyone got rest while ensuring continuous coverage. During these three days, we actively tested the app with multiple students and teachers. We managed the rotation well! That concludes the final blog update. Gonna miss posting these updat...

Week 15

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog! This week was all about polishing the content and facing the final feedback loop. We started integrating the actual content inputting all the questions, answers, and customizing the fonts to make the app look presentable. Whenever we hit a particularly tough or complex section, we reached out to the ACE facilitators for guidance. The final consultation brought some critical suggestions. Sir advised us to implement specific coding constraints: 1. Locking answers after every choices. 2. Ensuring multiple-choice questions cannot be answered more than once. 3. Adding a scoring mechanism so testers can track their performance. We immediately requested Sir's help on implementing these new coding features and got straight to work on them. More updates next time! That's all for this week, see you for the final update next week!

Week 14

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog! This week, we tackled collaboration and coding challenges head-on. To keep things professional and organized, we created a joint project email, no more using personal addresses for official comms! We immediately jumped into action. I focused on the design elements I was assigned, and shortly after, the coders began planning the implementation strategy. However, we quickly hit a massive wall. One of our assigned coders ran into significant difficulty with a specific task, which stalled our progress for a while. It was definitely a frustrating moment! Thankfully, we pushed through, and the issue was resolved by the end of the day. Just another day in development, I guess! That’s the main rundown for this week.

Week 11

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog! Today I'm gonna share the latest update on our project journey. This week was huge—we finally presented our proposed topic to Ma'am and the ACE facilitators! Good news: it got approved!🎉 However, the presentation revealed a few major misunderstandings regarding the screens we planned. We were honestly a bit shocked when we realized our original plan involved far too many screens, which would have been incredibly time-consuming and difficult to execute. To keep things manageable, the ACE facilitators suggested a crucial pivot: limiting the scope. Instead of tackling five subjects, we are now focusing on just three. On top of that great advice, they offered to assist us directly with some of the trickier coding aspects! Major relief! 🙏 We are back on track, slightly leaner, but ready to build! Stay tuned for the next update.

Week 10

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog! Today I'm gonna share what we did in class. The initial phase of our final project was officially underway! The assistant teachers handled the logistics, compiling all student names and inputting them into a generator to establish our three working groups. Once the teams were set, we dove straight into the details. We had a thorough discussion covering the final project requirements. For the entire following week, it was intense planning mode: brainstorming the core concept of our application, outlining essential features, establishing the foundational coding structure, and, crucially, assigning specific roles to maximize our team efficiency. That's all for this week's update. We're excited to keep you in the loop as we continue to the next stage of our app. Stay tuned for more updates next week!

Week 13

Hey everyone, welcome back to the blog! This week, our group's been making some solid progress on our app. The people assigned to the roles are doing their part, keeping us updated on their progress. If someone's stuck, we all jump in to help out. So far, things are going smoothly, and it looks like we're on track! Fingers crossed we can keep this momentum going! 🤞 That's all for this week's update. We're excited to keep you in the loop as we continue to develop our app. Stay tuned for more updates next week!

Week 12

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog!  Today I'm gonna share what we did in class. App Proposal Presentation 🚀 We presented our app proposal! Ms. Faith and some sirs from "ACE" supervised us. They gave us  ideas to make the app easier to use and more manageable. Key points from the presentation: - Details and plans of the app - Ideas and help from Ms. Faith and the ACE sirs After our presentation, we watched the other groups present theirs. Then, we started working on the basic functions of our app. It was a productive day! ✨
